Joseph Montet Banks:
(known to his fans as "Joey Banks") is a songwriter, singer, performer, and session player. He was born on January 12th, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia. When Joey was 11 years old his family moved to Mauldin, South Carolina where the growing local music scene influenced him to begin playing guitar. He quickly grew his newly discovered talent, being influenced and inspired by the works of Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Neal Schon and Ted Nugent. At the age of 16 Joey began giving instruction as a guitar teacher.
When he turned 20 in 1985, Joey began his professional musical career by launching Torn Lace, a band which toured for eight years. He then transitioned to his current touring outfit, Thee Joey Banks Band! He
has performed with such acts as Warrant, Molly Hatchet, and Mother's Finest. In 2014 he performed for the troops in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Joey Banks has released three albums: Soul Good (2011), Soul Much Better (2012), and his recent self titled album, Joey Banks (2015).
